Greely Center for the Arts Grand Opening Please join us on January 28, 2019 from 6-9pm as we host the Grand Opening of the Greely Center for the Arts. Come for the evening or swing by to see a short performance or view the art gallery....either way, we hope to see you there! For a complete detailed schedule, visit our website . 6th Graders Celebrate Half-Way Mark Last week, GMS 6th graders celebrated their "half way" mark: exactly half way through their K-12 education. They did this in creative ways, from painting half their faces to changing classes halfway through their class blocks, all in good fun. Just 6.5 years until graduation! Students Raise Money for Guatemala 6th Graders in Mrs. Adams class held a "Pie Your Teachers" fundraiser to raise money for a village in Guatemala. Students raised $433 and plan to purchase a trampoline for the kids. Many thanks to the 17 GMS staff members who agreed to be "pied" in the face for this...

Welcome to 2019! Greely Center for the Arts Update Last weekend, we moved the GHS chorus and band classrooms into their new space in the GCA. While there are still a few minor items left on the punch list, the majority of the space has been completed and ready to be occupied. Greely High School will be hosting their "Poetry Out Loud" in the GCA in a couple of weeks and the Grand Opening will be held on Monday, January 28 from 6-9PM - more details to come in the district's weekly newsletter. Japanese Visitors Welcome to our visitors from Japan! Greely Middle School hosted 10 students and 4 staff from Namioka Junior High School, Namioka Town, Amori Prefecture, JAPAN. The mission of the exchange with our friends from Japan is to promote mutual understanding, friendship, and goodwill through educational and cultural exchange.
