1st Grade Costume Parade Extravaganza
First graders and their teachers donned their favorite costumes for a Halloween-style parade around the campus track last week, entertaining MIW students, staff, and parents. Characters such as Spiderman, Wonder Woman, pumpkins, ghosts, dinosaurs, and even a walking toilet were all part of the parade.GHS Homecoming
Students asked for a homecoming dance and one was delivered. A beautiful event was held in mid-October in a rented dance hall tent complete with a wooden dance floor. About 300 students enjoyed the festivities and music for this special homecoming dance. Many thanks to Don Gray, Jim Hand, Katie Dexter, Don Foster, Joanna Foster, and all those who helped to set up and make this event one to remember.GHS Outing Club Returns
After a hiatus, the GHS Outing Club returned this Fall, thanks to a state grant of $1500 that supports programs that connect teenagers with the outdoors around them. The first trip was to the Cumberland Forest, with students and advisors Dan Westhoven and Tyler McGinley setting up camp in a wooded and serene area of the forest with hammocks.Congratulations To...
