Black History Month Spotlight

The GMS 6-8 Civil Rights Team honored Black History Month by making a "quilt" of famous quotes to commemorate the month. In Mastery classes, students heard a clip of Amanda Gorman talking about how she overcame her personal challenges to become the first African American Youth Poet Laureate.


2021 US Presidential Scholars Candidates

The US Presidential Scholars Program recognizes "some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors." Congrats to these three Greely students who are among the 86 Maine candidates for the US Presidential Scholars program in 2021: Elizabeth Hanson Jonathon Piesik William Young

GMS 6-8 Science Bowl

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the MIT-sponsored science bowl last Saturday. Our students had a great time answering rapid-fire questions during the event. Our students are looking forward to participating again in future years. Thank you to Ms. Brox for facilitating this event and to Mrs. Greenlaw for helping.



Greely Debate Team Maine Champions

Congrats Greely Debate Team--they are the 2020-21 Maine Champions in Congressional Debate, winning three out of five of Maine’s spots in the NCFL National Finals tournament Friday.
