Update September 14, 2020
| 2020-21 Off to a Good Start |
It's been a smooth start to the 2020-21 school year as students and staff returned to the campus last week. Both Cohorts A and B did a terrific job remembering face coverings, social distancing, and adjusting to school during a pandemic. The district will continue in the Yellow (hybrid) zone until at least October 16.

How Do the Buses Run?
Just ask Phil Blake and Larry Lare at the MSAD #51 Transportation Garage. Phil and Larry maintain the 25-bus fleet year-round, replacing engines, installing safety items, and ensuring that all buses are ready for the road every day. This week, work on a new joint project with the Town of Cumberland starts that will replace the aging bus garage with a modern drive-in service facility on Drowne Road.
Who Says You Can't Get a Free Lunch Anymore?
Food Service Director Jon Carlson says you still can. School Breakfast & Lunch will be FREE for ALL students (PK-12) through December 22, 2020! School Meals include a carton of milk, snack, fruit and vegetables, and entree choices! On the first day of this free program, there were 125 lunches and 60 breakfasts served.
The Rangers are Back on the Field

The Rangers were back in action this week after a whirlwind wait-and-see from the MPA as to whether or not Fall sports would be running. As of this blog post, most programs can proceed with new safety guidelines in place. Student-athletes have been conditioning for the last week and starting practices. Competitions with other teams will be limited to small cohorts that include Yarmouth, Falmouth, and Cape. All practices and competitions are limited to the outdoors and spectators are not allowed this season.
Thank you, PTO
