Broadway Actor Visits GHS
Many thanks to John Cariani, award-winning Broadway actor and playwright of Greely Drama's fall show, ALMOST, MAINE, for inspiring the GHS drama club in person last week.
"No Shave November"
Join me in raising awareness for those battling cancer by observing national “No Shave November” or finding other ways to help, such as donating to charities like St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, which treats children with cancer at no cost to families. My beard is growing by the day and it reminds me every day about the struggles so many of our family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors must face in their battles with all forms of cancer.GHS seniors admitted to Maine schools
Congrats to 44 GHS seniors who were accepted to UMaine or USM after the GHS App Review Day before anyone in the U.S. or most other Maine students! All 35 students received scholarships ranging from $1,000 to full tuition/fees. Thanks to guidance director Melissa Fowler for organizing.New Basketball Hoop for MIW
Many thanks to Foundation 51 for purchasing a new basketball hoop for the students at Mabel I. Wilson School. On Monday, November 19, the GHS girls and boys basketball teams joined the MIW students in trying out their new hoop at recess.

Green Team News
Green Team created an interactive display to teach their peers more about the benefits of recycling. This display will be showcased in the library for the week! Thursday, November 15th was America Recycles Day!
